I must admit, like Stephen, I have stayed away from Facebook and Google. In the past, I did set up Facebook, Google and Twitter accounts but only so that, in my previous role as webmaster of Gilbert’s Potoroo Action Group, I could setup Facebook and Twitter pages and a YouTube channel for the group. Since then, I have stayed away from these, except for watching interesting YouTube content, and had pretty much decided to delete my Facebook account – Mr Zuckerberg’s vision for the metaverse probably only added to that feeling – anyone else remember 2nd life!! So, my vote would definitely be for Daniel’s original plan, rather than anything to do with Facebook. Hopefully, it should also mean that there are more current updates installed to the backend of what runs the list - so that’s good news as well. There’s a little bit of work to get it all organised. But hopefully as mentioned, it shouldn’t affect the running of the list. Though when it’s down, if you do post you may not see your message arrive. But I’ll certainly let everyone know by a mailing post before it gets transferred and after it’s completed. Hopefully this will ensure the list can continue running for many more years to come!
