Hello all, I have also migrated to The Messaging Co.and managed to change the server settings on my iMac and mail is now working.
The other older 2003 iMac (G4USB-2) - sometimes called “Lamp shade” - iMac which still works perfectly has a problem with Mail. Unable to send or receive emails It's running OS 10.4.11, mail version 2.1.3 (753.1) and I have not been able to fully change the server settings. It’s responding with : “unable to verify SSL server”. It asks to enter the password, but won’t accept the new one I had to create. I have changed the outgoing mail server correctly but the screen for the incoming mail server does not have a box for the port number or a selection for TSL/SSL or a selection for "automatically manage connection settings”. Have been in touch with TMC some weeks ago and received a ticket number and a promise that they get back to me but nothing happened so far. It’s hard to accept that I can’t use mail just because of some connection settings. Any useful hints would be appreciated, Cheers Walter -- The WA Macintosh User Group Mailing List -- Archives - <https://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/> Guidelines - <http://www.wamug.org.au/mailinglist/guidelines.shtml> Settings & Unsubscribe - <https://lists.wamug.org.au/mailman/listinfo/wamug>
