Yes, it came out a couple of weeks ago. Hard to see MS’ reasoning behind a move like this. There’s nothing compelling enough in recent version of Office to keep people upgrading unless they’re in business, and that’s only because Office is so prevalent in the business word that people cannot afford to have it stop working just because MS brings out a pointless update. There are too many perfectly acceptable alternatives for the average user to have to worry about it. Almost every alternative out there had the ability to open and save MS Office files.
