We have to drive 21 miles, one-way, just to get to the first traffic signal of the closest city. The first grocery store is another 2 miles down the road. Need a gallon of milk? It's a round trip of 46 miles. And pedestrians aren't rousted simply for walking on the city streets in Frisco ... although because of the way LA is spread out, I wouldn't be at all surprised. It's not what you'd call a city to walk in, unless you're walking in one of the malls, which are larger than a lot of European cities.
