Does Java have some integrated search? RegExps or something?

What I would _not_ do is simply forward the search string 
(LIST\tSEARCH_STRING) to the database. That will only lead to security 
problems.

Why didn't you check it into our project's svn server?

Directory:
trunk/metaserver
trunk/masterserver
or whatever you want to call it.
