I am also interested to know whether the game works on older versions of Windows, eg. Win98, because the Microsoft says that VC Redist is Win98 compatible, but on another page they also say that the Microsoft Installer 3.0 (which is required for the redist) is not Win98 compatible... Seems like they don't know themselves...
