I have just taken a quick look at it and everything about it just screams "XDR" to me, its bi-directional-ness, fixed width types. This is the part XDR was born to play! This is both a good thing and a bad thing, in that the API is similar to XDR (a battle-tested, and for the most part, well designed) so it shows that we are along the right track. It is also a bad thing in that XDR is already there touting very similar functionality (as well as built in functions for dealing with streams and records). There is no doubt in my mind that continuing with this design will give a good network infrastructure---the only question is are we re- inventing the wheel? I'll shut-up now. Regards, Freddie. _______________________________________________ Warzone-dev mailing list [email protected] https://mail.gna.org/listinfo/warzone-dev
