Details:
In Windows Vista, game will load, but I get roughly 1 frame per 2 seconds in
main menu, sounds play fine, responsiveness of mouse click on buttons is fine
(doesn't wait for animation), just the menu/button animation is extremely
slow.
When I started new game, game started to load (progress bar was smooth) and
then the game hung for good, I waited a minute and killed it. XP
compatibility mode yielded same results.
