#2124: frame drop with many units

Since 2.3.4 (probably not earlier) the frame rate SOMETIMES drops for SOME
players down to unplayable, estimated 2 - 5 FPS.
Always correlates with having hundreds of units and defences in the game,
never in the early game. Sometimes recovers after many defences and units
died.
NOT a factor:
- being host or not
- having good hardware or not (sometimes the one who drops has extreme
high end CPU and GPU while others with old hardware don't get the drop)
