OK, as you may have noticed via the mail, there is a commit script for
SF's git repo, that is working for commits.

I was getting quite horrible performance from gitorious (12kb -
25kb/sec) so that prevented me from doing the initial history fix, so
I can upload the new branch

Trying to upload to gitorious, I did:
git status
# On branch pre-3.0
# Your branch is ahead of 'origin/2.3' by 70 commits.
git push...
'Everything up-to-date'

Eh ?

Dak180 then cloned gitorious to SF for me, so I can at least start to
upload the pre-3.0 code changes.

Cloning from SF, the performance was @(500kb+/sec)

The repo is at :
@warzone2100.git.sourceforge.net/gitroot/warzone2100/warzone2100

Any ideas what the issue with gitorious is, besides the slowness ?
I rather keep working on SF's repo, until the issues are fixed @ gitorious.
