#2441: Random crash while playing latest GIT / Ineffective 'biffer baker'

Two things here:
- I have random crashes with latest GIT (see attached dump)
- And the cheat code 'biffer baker' is ineffective, my units (buildings
and mobile units likewise) get easily (as I would play 'easy') destroyed
by any type of gun/cannon fire.
The cheat-code was very effective in stable branch 2.3.4 but in 'master'
it is no longer effective.
