I've mailed our one segfault preventing patch to the miniupnp upstream, once that's included I don't have any objections to removing it. Though some distros might not have it included, I guess that's more incentive for them to package it. Iniparser in master is a rewrite by Evilguru, 2.3 still has the old version I think.
