#2606: Can't select and give orders to Trucks and Cyborg Engineers

On loading the game for the first time and starting a skirmish on Sk-Rush
map, I'm not able to select trucks or cyborg engineers and give them
orders to build. Although, I'm able to right-click on them and order them
to be recycled. I can only give them orders by clicking on the Build icon
and selecting the unit.
Even clicking on the factories and research facilities does not display
the menu windows on the bottom and the left side of the screen. Instead
there's only a message displayed at the top of the screen when clicking on
the structures like "Factory Damage 0%", "Cyborg Factory Damage 0%", or
"Research Facility Damage 0%". Pressing F1, F2, or F3 does not display the
menus. However, clicking on the Manufacture, Research, or Build icons work
fine and is the only way to give build orders to trucks or select research
topics, or even to manufacture units.
The Esc key does not pause the game or even show the menu (Resume game,
Load game, Quit, etc.). Sometimes, after a while, everything starts to
works properly by itself. But pressing the F10 key to take a snapshot
definitely brings everything back to normal.
Again, this seems to happen almost every time the game is loaded for the
first time.
