Not that I'm aware of. There's an attempt at https://github.com/Cyp/warzone2100/commits/navigate which sets up a differential equation involving the direction the droids want to go in, and then solves it. Didn't really help — it seemed to be a slight improvement over beta10's abysmal pathing, but worse than beta11's terrible pathing. There was a bug in 3.1 beta 10 (and probably all previous betas) related to droid motion prediction next to cliffs and structures.
