#4170: Crackling audio in cutscenes

Audio is fine in normal gameplay, but when cutscenes play, sometimes the
audio breaks up for less than a second (but long enough to miss important
information). I checked my hardware and found no issues. The debug log
shows no more information. No other applications were running, and no
background services were using audio. If this is a feature (and I hope it
isn't), I would like it to have a switch.
System details:
CPU: AMD Athlon X4 630 quad-core 2.8 GHz
RAM: 6 GB DDR2 400 MHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GT 640 with 2 GB dedicated VRAM
Sound card: Intel HDA (on motherboard) using ALSA
OS: Debian 7.3 Wheezy AMD64
