Hi there, I was fishing through some old Watir examples when I decided to try the joke script found at:
http://agileworks.blogspot.com/2006/04/geeks-version-of-joke.html When I run the code, I notice that Watir gets stuck waiting for the first page to load (the only URL specified in that script). It even hangs when I try to manually connect to that site through IRB. When I cancel out of the wait, I see the following error in IRB: --- irb(main):003:0> ie = Watir::IE.start( site_url ) IRB::Abort: abort then interrupt!! from c:/ruby/lib/ruby/1.8/irb.rb:81:in `irb_abort' from c:/ruby/lib/ruby/1.8/irb.rb:243:in `signal_handle' from c:/ruby/lib/ruby/1.8/irb.rb:66:in `start' from c:/ruby/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/watir-1.6.2/lib/watir/ie- class.rb:475:in `wait' from c:/ruby/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/watir-1.6.2/lib/watir/ie- class.rb:154:in `_attach_init' from c:/ruby/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/watir-1.6.2/lib/watir/ie- class.rb:146:in `attach' from (irb):3 --- Any thoughts as to why Watir is hanging? It looks like the page has finished loading but control doesn't return to the script or IRB. I'm using Watir 1.6.2 gem. I tried this using Watir 1.5.2 and got the same result, although a slightly different error in IRB. Please let me know. Thanks.
