Hi, In the project that i am currently working , we have prepared scenario's for a web based application in excel sheet with values specified for text fields (for a text field name - the value 'arvind' will be provided in the row name in excel sheet)and options checked for the drop down fields (ie. for a check box with yes/no option there would be two rows and the row yes or no would be given a tick mark based on the scenario).There are almost 1250 scenarios identified and the team in now thinking of automating the scenarios as it would be required for later releases too to test this 1250 scenarios. I came to know Ruby/Watir tool name but being a manual tester i dont have any idea about automation tool. I would like to know 1. Whether ruby/watir will satisfy the requirement of my project? 2. Where can i find the tutorials or references for tool (for a person with absolutely no knowledge) ? 3. What are the merits,demerits and limitations of the tool? 4. Is there any other tool that satisfy the requirement much more than ruby/watir? Thanks
