Can you paste what you get and then what you would like to get? I have never used it, but looks like Watir can access tbody [2] tag directly: browser.tbody(how, what) Not sure how bodies[3] works, but looks like you have only one tbody tag in your table, browser.table(how, what).bodies[1] should not point to anything.
