I'm using Ruby 1.8.6 and Watir and Watir 1.6.5, running with IE 7. I am able to attach to a second window and inspect the elements, but when I close the second window both of my browser windows close.
Here is what I use to attach to the second IE window: $window2= Watir::Browser.attach(:url, pagetab.href) when I am done and want to close the second window: $window2.close This causes both browser windows to close.
