If it uses some of the standard tools that are out there like jQuery, then 
you might be able to find demo sites that show the same controls you are 
using in your site and we can show you how to automate against those.

BTW Watir was not written 'for developers' it was created by testers for 
testers, but with the assumption that said testers will have to learn to do 
a little coding (because tools that require 'no coding' are largely a myth, 
or end up creating tests that become maintenance nightmares)

I might strongly recommend a little time with a site like rubykoans.com  or 
a good book like 'everday scripting with ruby'   that and learning a fair 
bit about HTML  (anyone testing against websites needs to understand this)
