The GWT stuff is really ajax heavy, at least the applications I've scripted 
against were.  So, you just need to get really good with the waiting 
functions really.  The only other thing I recall is that the names and ids 
for elements aren't really set to anything useful out of the box, so you 
may have to work with the developers on that.  Scripting functional tests 
was a cakewalk compared to trying to do performance testing.  GWT-RPC calls 
everywhere!
