I don't think that you can identify elements by event (everything that is started on :onxxxxx), however it is strange, why do we have all these things in attribute list :) As for me all classical ways (like :id, :class or :text) are enough for me. If not :xpath + regexp give me possibility to find anything that I ever wanted to find.
So that discussion is more theoretical as I understand, because you can access any element that you want in one way or another, but is it valid? Huh.
