Thanks for the comments. However, i have solved the problem as follow
*@browser.a(:text,"Customer Lines").fire_event("onclick")*
it is perfectly running for me.
But one thing which i am still figuring out is why it did not work for
simple Click method and why it worked with fire_event("onClick")?
