Okay I've had a based test run with the gdata api for the code.google issues and I think it's very doable (Confluence has an import issues from CSV function).
Basically all I need to do is map the expected fields to the existing ones on code.google and I can generate a nice little CSV that includes comments. So are we looking at anything spectacularly different from the norm for confluence? James
