Oh, one other thing, i've got both openfire and ejabberd working on my network (2 machiens with openfire, 2 with ejabberd) and both appear to be working ok and communicate back and forth pretty reliably. Only thing i've done differently to what is mentioned at this link (http:// www.process-one.net/en/blogs/article/using_google_wave_reference_implementation_with_ejabberd/) is to use the 5275 port rather then 8888 so you dont have to modify run-server if you switch between the two servers. Also, make sure when you setup ejabberd, you change the hosts entry up near the top of the config file (if your using ubuntu its on line 36 and line 90 for fedora) to your domain.
