I am not very familiar with IQ messages, but would there be any good
reason why GAE does not allow IQ messages?

If that is the only blocking issue, then I should add a ticket to the
appengine issues requesting IQ messages.

After a search, seems there already is a ticket:

http://code.google.com/p/googleappengine/issues/detail?id=2071

Please star the issue, so we can run Wave Servers on GAE.

Thanks,

Robin
