I just pushed the following two changes to the fedone mercurial repository.
9562a92ebe Fix disco#items response. Add disco fallback: If the server doesn't support disco#items (for instance, Google's XMPP server) then try a disco#info against "wave.$domainName". You will need to apply this patch to communicate with the Federated Google Wave service. bcf5254ca9 Fix disco#items test now that the code is fixed Unfortunately, attempted to do a disco#items against the Google Talk XMPP servers will fail - they don't support it. If we receive an error response to the initial disco#items query, we try to do a disco#info against wave.domainNameHere.com. And yes, the correct fix is to make the Google XMPP servers support disco#items. That's a ways down the track, unfortunately. In the mean time, when we open the Federation port, you *must* have these patches applied to be able to communicate.
