The recently open-sourced Splash client includes code to render
gadgets http://code.google.com/p/wave-protocol/source/browse/?repo=splash.
And the Wave Data API lets you add gadgets as well. It works the same
way as with the robots
http://wave-robot-java-client.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/doc/index.html
by creating and adding the gadget element to the wave.

In what kind of application are you planning to add gadgets to waves?
Are you working on a client implementation, web application that
embeds waves, or just curios about how this works?

Regards,
Vadim
