            Bug ID: 90673
           Summary: Weston's desktpo-shell keybindings don't respect
                    keyboard layout (variant)
           Product: Wayland
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: Other
                OS: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: medium
         Component: weston
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]

I'm running Weston 1.7.93 from git (checked out today) and also Wayland 1.7.93.
To be able to use the colemak keyboard layout (http://colemak.com/), I have the
following in ~/.config/weston.ini:

[keyboard]
keymap_layout=us
keymap_variant=colemak

In the weston desktop-shell session, the colemak layout works properly in
weston-terminal and other client (including Xwayland clients). However, the
bindings of the desktop-shell itself don't work. If I press what's supposed to
be mod+K (K is the physical N button) in the colemak layout, the focused layout
doesn't get killed. Pressing mod+physical K works, thought. The same applies
for mod+shift+F, for example. It seems the bindings don't respect the
layout/variant set in weston.ini.
