fwiw, the hwdb has no effect on the mouse-dpi-tool, it only affects libinput.
the mouse-dpi-tool listens to the kernel events directly and gives you the
results as measured. Given that you measured 1100 as well I'm more tempted to
leave the measured value than the official spec.
Try it a few more times anyway, at different speeds, etc. Also note when
measuring the distance that you're measuring sensor movements, not left edge to
right edge of the mouse.
