Hi!
I have (almost) the same notebook, and touchpad is unuseable for me also, slow
finger motion moves the cursor too fast; and fast finger motion moves the
cursor too slow.
My notebook is a Sony Vaio Pro 13 from 2012, SVS13A15GLB.
My info, in Debian sid:
