IIRC the surface 2 cover had a wrong HID report descriptor. I am not sure
about the F23 key but I wouldn't be surprised if this was related to it too.
I don't want to fix bad report descriptors in hid-multitouch, because that
would just open a can of worms. So the status quo is a little bit
disappointing, but I don't want to spend too much time fixing a 4 year old
device.
If someone has the time to do it, I think it should be done in hid-microsoft.
