I wonder if the patch in https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=786455
might help for the timestamp==0 case that Michael described. Just deleting that
if statement seems very simplistic to me though, no idea if 0 is a valid
timestamp in wayland. The X11 backend has some heuristic for the timestamp==0
case as far as I remember.
