Ran weston on the DRM backend (outside X), it did something weird, and you want to get the output to a file? (And haven't set up gpm in forever?)
It's really easy: # setterm -file log.txt -dump 4 Where "4" was the virtual terminal number I wanted the text from. You'll need to run it as root.
