::Scope:: These test results only cover the Weston compositor with the DRM and X11 Backends and the Desktop Shell (w/cairo-glesv2) on specific Intel-based hardware (listed below). The issues listed in this report are only those that were observed during this testing and do not represent all known Wayland and Weston issues (see <http://bugs.freedesktop.org> for a full list).
Manual tests were executed on two (2) different stacks for this testing cycle. The first stack was composed of all "stable" released components and was used to execute the majority of test cases on a Fedora 19 OS. The second stack was similar to the first with the exception of unstable Mesa and unstable Systemd components... these unstable parts were necessary to test the new logind, buffer pass-through, and egl swap interval 0 features and executed on a Fedora 20 OS. The automated test suites executed are Wayland Check, Weston Check, and Wayland-FITS (core and efl - <https://github.com/01org/wayland-fits>). ::Summary:: Automated test pass rate remained stable at 99% from Beta 1 (1.3.92) to Beta 2 (1.3.93). Manual test pass rate (76%) **regressed** 8% in Beta 2 (1.3.93) since Beta 1 (1.3.92). This was due to a regression introduced in Beta 2 that caused the output destroy signal list to get corrupted when an action triggered any input device to be destroyed (e.g. hotplug, vt-switch, shutdown). This regression was ultimately tied to bugs 73890, 73895, 73899, and 73983 and has since been resolved and verified. ::Platforms:: Sandy Bridge (B810 @ 1.60GHz) Fedora 19 64-bit (for Manual Testing) Sandy Bridge (B810 @ 1.60GHz) Fedora 20 64-bit (for Manual Testing) Sandy Bridge (i5-2467M CPU @ 1.60GHz) Fedora 19 32-bit (for Automated Testing) Sandy Bridge (i5-2467M CPU @ 1.60GHz) Fedora 19 64-bit (for Automated Testing) Ivy Bridge (i5-3317U @ 1.7 GHz) Fedora 19 64-bit (for Automated Testing) ::Software Stacks:: :::Stable::: wayland (HEAD) remotes/origin/master-0-g47bbc6b drm (HEAD) libdrm-2.4.50-0-g4c5de72 mesa (HEAD) remotes/origin/10.0-0-g3a62718 libva (HEAD) libva-1.2.1-0-g88ed1eb intel-driver (HEAD) 1.2.1-0-g8f306e3 weston (HEAD) 1.3.93-0-g7cccfca efl (HEAD) remotes/origin/efl-1.8-0-gb1de86e elementary (HEAD) remotes/origin/elementary-1.8-0-ga1ea515 wayland-fits (HEAD) remotes/origin/HEAD-0-g7961adb :::Stable + Systemd Unstable (v209+) + Mesa Unstable (v10.1+)::: systemd (master) heads/master-0-g607553f wayland (master) heads/master-0-g47bbc6b drm (master) libdrm-2.4.50-0-g4c5de72 mesa (master) heads/master-0-g4cd8011 libva (master) libva-1.2.1-0-g88ed1eb intel-driver (master) 1.2.1-0-g8f306e3 weston (master) 1.3.93-0-g7cccfca efl (efl-1.8) heads/efl-1.8-0-g8aa17f3 elementary (elementary-1.8) heads/elementary-1.8-0-ga1ea515 wayland-fits (master) heads/master-0-g7961adb ::Manual Test Results:: Passed: 76% (92/121) Failed: 22% (27/121) NotRun/Blocked: 2% (2/121) ::Automated Test Results:: Passed: 99% (1254/1272) Failed: 1% (18/1272) ::Issues Encountered (new and pre-existing):: Zoom and touch don't work correctly together: <https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=68620> LibVA h.264 capture/encoding causes Weston to hang: <https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=69330> weston-calibrator always pops up on primary display in multi-head setup: <https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=69780> weston-keyboard always pops-up on primary display in multi-head setup: <https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=71015> Titlebar titles and hotspots aren't updated after maximize until pointer move: <https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=71927> weston-simple-egl fullscreening causes client application flicker: <https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72863> Clients render incorrectly when output is reassigned after original output unplugged: <https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72946> SIGSEGV rapid vt-switching + logind + multihead crashes weston: <https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=73566> Application always displays up on seated output: <https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=73715> SIGSEGV vt-switching crashes weston: <https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=73890> SIGSEGV in notify_output_destroy during weston shutdown: <https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=73895> SIGSEGV Repeated output hotplug/unplug crashes Weston: <https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=73899> Weston clients receive key events while Weston is locked: <https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=73905> weston-terminal rotates when the text is highlighted: <https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=73914> Weston aborts on touching the secondary output when primary output removed: <https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=73950> SIGSEGV Weston crashes on hotplug/unplug input device: <https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=73983> ::Issues Resolved and Verified Since Beta 1:: Unable to unlock Weston when context menu or tooltip exists: <https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72540> weston-subsurfaces does not render/display: <https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=72612> Compositor Bypass does not work on secondary display: <https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=73485> SIGSEGV in ping_timeout_handler: <https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=73490> SIGSEGV in weston_keyboard_set_focus: <https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=73570> SIGSEGV in evdev_process_touch when original output is plugged back: <https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=73637> SIGSEGV in weston_fade_run crashes Weston: <https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=73665> weston-resizor does not maximize while it is animating: <https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=73723> Interference between multi touch events: <https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=73750> ---- Regards, U.
