This is the first time I've emailed this group, so I hope it works. On the topic of TV Land, I watch a lot of shows on this channel, and I like it because my Dad also watches a lot of the old shows. He suffered a stroke about 12 years ago, and its difficult for him to understand things, but he does remember the old shows, the most important, The Andy Griffith Show, and enjoys so much watching them. I want to let everyone know, I'm not prudish, or get upset when someone uses foul language in my presence (occasionally I will use a good curse word when necessary), but I dont use that language around my dad. He is a very religious person who I respect so much. So I was watching "The Jerk" on TV Land tonight, and to my surprise, the phrase God D^#%^$ was used a few times. Thank goodness my dad wasn't watching, but I was very upset that they would air a movie like that, and not bleep the curse words. I've never written a complaint type letter to anyone, but I am going to write one to the network. Like I said, I know this is 2008, and I'm no angel, but I have always enjoyed watching this station with my dad. I would have been so embarrassed if he would have heard that phrase and understood it. Anyone else share this concern? Thank you, and I enjoy all of your posts.
