TTown, you didn't cause any problems. You're new to the digest. You'll find that a lot of subjects get discussed at great length until we realize we're wandering away from Mayberry. A while back there was the great sleep pants discussion which went on for quite a while. And we got to talking a lot about Cheerwine once. Different subjects resurrect from time to time. The founding members are very patient with those of us who want to know more about something that had been discussed years ago before we joined. Someone can post some helpful links if you are looking for something specific.
As far as Rose's husband showing up later as Charlie Foley, the butcher - why, that just means you are going to be a great trained noticer. If any of you new members need a phrase or reference explained, just ask. Trained noticer gets tossed around a lot. I know it's a Barney quote, but someone will have to tell me the episode and context. Was it in My Fair Ernest T. Bass? I've watched TAGS a lot but not nearly as much as some of our resident experts. Hang on and be amazed at all the details that get mentioned about the show. We all have our favorite episodes and quotes. Some of us have adopted our signatures from the show. We have Neil Bentley, a rather pushy attorney from Mt. Pilot, but he wears a good suit. We have the Untrained Voice. Charlie Varney often checked in, but I haven't seen anything posted from him in quite a while. We have a few Aunt Bees and some Thelma Lou's. You can be anyone you want as long as you're kind (rule number 2) and you'll learn a lot. We have a lot of very clever folks here and I am often amused by their banter.
