Hello everyone,
I remember in one episode somebody said the mayors
office was upstairs from in the courthouse. Maybe this
is where the door near cell #2 goes?
Conor and I want to wish Mr.Newsome and all the
members of WBMUTBB a very Merry Christmas and a Happy
New Year!
Your friends,
Kyle and Conor Jeness

Regarding Don Knotts' expressive face: what about when he asked the
convict to dance and said she was getting to him? His eyes fairly
smoked and it gives me goosebumps every time!
As for Mr. O'Malley: wasn't it some relative who was wealthy? And even
some wealthy folks prefer to live a simple, austere life. Perhaps he
took the bus on the trip cuz he doesn't like driving long distances and
didn't want to clutter up Main Street with that lovely old car. As to
provisions, again maybe he shops every few days for just what he needs,
another reflection of a simple life.
The extra door in the courthouse would be for a little room corresponding
to the depth of cell #1 (or is it #2) so I doubt if a door on the other
side would appear in the barbershop. I vaguely recall Andy going in
there sometime too. Perhaps it's on an epilogue somewhere. Can our
founder or some published expert give us the scoop on this issue.
And can anyone give us more info on the computer game mentioned in the
last Digest? I'm dying to find it but have had no luck so far.

I had completely forgotten that Andy did a Frosty Special! His
characterzation was incredible. If it reruns, it would probably be on Fox
Family. That is where I saw it.
Merry Christmas to you and yours

The blank dial space was all I remember on our phone. Our number was 75. our
neighbor in the next house down the road was 57. When I came to NC and called
home for the first time, I asked the operator to get me the number and she
said what is the number? I said "75". She said "75 WHAT?" I said that's it!
So she got my hometonw and asked the operator to DIAL 75, to which the
operator replied "I can't dial it, but I will ring it!"
My aunt lived on a party line and her number was 32w11. Her ring was one long
and two shorts. Ours was one long. Those were the good old days. Back then we
didn't cal them Operators, but "central."
Ah, yes. To live in Mayberry times brings back those memories!!
