My husband is a TAGS fan, (I made sure of that before I married him!) ;) but he also wonders why, when I'm watching a TAGS that I've seen 1000000 times, that I'm rolling around laughing until the tears come. It's just that Mayberry and its citizens are so charming and hilarious that I can't help myself. No matter how bad a day has been, I can watch a TAGS episode and be at least a little happier. (It's been a rough two days...maybe I need to go watch one now!) ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 22 Aug 2000 18:49:55 +0100 From: Paul Jennings <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Re: wbmutbb-digest V2 #290 I was watching the episode where Andy goes to Raleigh to see about a job with the Hogarth Detective Agency......He gets Barney all excited about the fact that he (Barney) could become the next sherrif. As Barney stands daydreaming about the possibilities and says that he has to go.....because some kind of permit has come in...I can't make it out. Anyone know what he was talking about? I dont think he did a lot of episodes tho before being replaced by someone else for what ever reason. I think someone else mentioned him being a voice on Rocky and Bullwinkle as well here recently on the Digest. Hal did quite a few cartoon character voices. Two that come to mind right away are Rabbit from Winnie the Pooh and Goofy in the Disney animated short, Mickey's Christmas Carol. Does anyone know of other character voices he recorded? Alan I think he did the voice of Jiminey Crikett as well __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! I get teased because I like it and watch it so much. Its such a wonderful show. Elaine Hey Ya'll, I know exactly what you mean! Some folks just don't get it...For example when I do my best Ernest T. Bass impression by saying "How do you do Mrs. Whiley?" some folks look at me like Im some kind of nut; but when I find a TAGS fan we both crack up,and form a bond that the rest of the world just does'nt share...Its just pretty cool stuff. When people ask me why I joined the BB I tell them cause they asked me to stay and have a sandwich :) Love&Prayers Mike(Spyda Byte)Zman __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? There's enough negativity in the world without bringing it to Mayberry. I have a suggestion, though. The next time someone sends a negative message, take it straight to the city dump. I'll meet ya'll there after dark with my flashlight - me, Barney, Ange & Aunt Bee. (hehe) Seriously, we could all learn a valuable lesson from Opie's gossip column. Personally, I couldn't think of anything negative to say. See ya'll at the diner! But there's an inconsistency with the scene involving the calendar. If you notice, the month that Barney marks the "x" thru is a 31-day month, and therefore CAN'T be September! I salute Jeff koontz who contributed a huge number of questions! He asked for nothing in return, a true mayberrian. He will be immortalized by having his name in one of the multiple choice questions! I believe the way the game is played could be spiced up. Does anyone have a suggestion for a design/ objectives change???????????? I will pass them along to the game company.
