Thanks Allan for all your time and effort to get us back up and going!! All
the ladies of Mayberry present you with pies as our guest of honor.

Here is another message that got lost.

First of all, Thanks for those who answered my question about James Best
home state(s). We'll see over time if any one agrees that our prez. sounds
a little like him.

(remember we started to talk about states mentioned on the show)

Thanks also for all the responses to my "lets name states request" (end of
#324) I sure was asleep on West Va. There were a bunch of references
pointed out to me.
Thanks especially to Paul for gettin this request organized so we're not all
over the country at once. I like the rule of counting the state if a City
is mentioned...there was one city mentioned) on TVL last night (this was a
week ago) Baltimore, so that will count for Maryland when we get to the M's.

For the A's it looks like we got Arkansas and Alaska covered, but we're
still stuck on Arizona and Alabama. Wasn't Floyd from Huntsville? oops,
that's our present day Floyd Newsome. Did Opie mention the Grand Canyon
once? If so, that could count for AZ?

What the next group Paul?

Noone has correctly answered my question yet about the episode with "trick
or treat outfits" reference.

I blew it High School...My mind just wandered

George Lindsay is in a new commercial for Toyota of Durham (i.e. Durham,
NC). In the commercial they mention the number 5 a lot. I''m not sure if
that's a reference to the 5 on the back of Barney's fifth anniversary watch
or not. It's a cute commercial.

I mentioned awhile back about finding a book that had the floor plan of the
Taylor home and a map of Mayberry in it. Many people sent me emails wanting
to find a copy of this book. I have now located, and bought myself a copy.
The book is titled TV SETS by Mark Bennett. It is published by TV Books of
New York. The ISBN number is: 1-57500-017-2. I bought my copy at a Walden's
Books where they ordered it for me. It cost $19.95. In the book it also shows
a web site for TV Books at www.tvbooks.com.

It is a really neat book with lots of interesting info on TV family homes
including the Taylors, Lucy and Ricky's apartment-Beverly Hills hotel
suite-Conneticut home, the Munsters, Beverly Hillbilly's, Gillligan's
Island, Patty Duke, Father Knows Best, Hazel, and many many more. If you like
old TV, you will like this book.

Best of luck to you and yours,

Danny O'Brien
Elizabethtown, KY
