Ten years and four months years after actress Jackie Joseph appeared as
Ramona Ancrum in the TAGS episode 'My Fair Ernest T. Bass', she was a guest
panelist on 'Match Game 74.' To me, this is a rare 'Romeena' appearance.
Earlier in this year of 1974, she helped to unload those kids on Ken Berry in
'The Brady Bunch' episode 'Kelly's Kids.' It would have been nice if she
jumped over that partition and Gene Rayburn as she did with the tree stumps
in Mrs. Wiley's front yard.

With regard to Mayberry R.F.D. in general, and Andy's participation in it in
particular: I can't claim to be an authority, but I am one of the fortunate
few (apparently) who has the GoodLife TV network on my cable system, which is
currently showing two episodes of MRFD every Sunday night. This past Sunday,
if my count is accurate, we just saw episodes 17 and 18 of the first season.
I highly recommend that if you have any interest in what became of Aunt Bee,
Howard, Goober, Millie, Sam, Mike, etc., after the end of TAGS, you urge your
cable system to pick up this channel. As a bonus, they also run six episodes
per week of The Danny Thomas Show, which, as we know, was the show from which
TAGS was spun off, and had many of the same writers as TAGS. In fact, just a
few days ago I saw an episode that was eerily similar to "Dinner at Eight"
and even funnier, if possible. For more info, here's the website:
www.goodtv.com
Now regarding Andy and MRFD, up to the midway point of the first season, Andy
is referred to in the show as though he still lives in Mayberry, and, if I
recall correctly, has thus far appeared in one episode since the premiere,
that being the one where Goober gets a job as a Driver's Ed teacher at good
old Mayberry High (three cheers for the Orange and Blue!). Funny, though,
that the previous week, in a two-part episode, Aunt Bee meets and becomes
engaged to a cruise ship captain and makes it as far as the wedding rehearsal
with no mention of Andy.
Of course, as the series goes on, and I learn anything further as to the
whereabouts and well-being of Andy and his kin, I'll post to the board.

Andy appeared in four episodes during RFD's first season:
"Andy and Helen Get Married"
"Mike's Losing Streak"
"Help on the Farm"
"Youth Takes Over"
"Andy's Baby" was his 5th appearance, in the second season; Aneta Corsaut
also returned. It's mentioned that he, Helen and Opie live in Charlotte,
where Andy is a State [police] Investigator.

Subject: Re: Soft Drinks
I grew up saying either "Pepsi" or "Coke" when referring to any soft drinks
(and I don't know if we even called 'em "soft drinks" - "y'ant a
drink?"). Some folks called 'em "dopes" ("I believe I'll have me a orange
dope.") I don't know where that'un came from but I've heard it speculated
that maybe it was from back when there was actually cocaine in Coke.
I don't think any of this would hold up to Learn a Month's scrutiny.
