Being a true cat lover, I got to studying about how many episodes had references to cats and I came up with this list. Sure would appreciate hearing from any of you trained noticers who might have one that I missed. 1. We see a live cat on the Wakefield's porch. 2. Andy tells the Hollywood producer that Floyd practices giving haircuts on cats. 3. Barney said he thought Thelma Lou was the "cats". 4. Rafe Hollister once said whenever he greased his shoes the cats would lick it off. 5. Several references to cats in "Opie the Birdman". 6. Andy told Gomer he was practicing putting out the cat for when they got one. 7. Otis crawled under Aunt Bee's window and meowed like a cat while he was protecting Andy. 8. Andy tells Opie the story about how caught a wild cat with his bare hands. 9. In Opie's club they ended the meetings with the cat's growl and talked about the curse of the claw. ( This might be stretching things.) 10. Band playing at one of the reunions or something was called the "Wildcats" (another bit of a stretch) 11. Several mentions of "catfish" in various episodes. ( a real stretch but does have the word cat) 12. Barney said once they had "catfish casserole" on the menu. ( another huge stretch)
