Ken Has the obvious one, of spending $300 on Mrs.' Lesch's car been mentioned?
Then there was the $13 and a quarter he splurged on for Thelma Lou...that cheap fur thing from Newton Monroe. I know the Scobey fund was mentioned. I think that was his most charitable moment. He gave Opie a nickel for milk, but I don't think we saw that. He was ready to take Andy Helen and Thelma Lou out to dinner, but I think they ended up going to Andy's to get something out of the ice box. He bought Opie's paper for two cents, and I think a jar of Miracle salve. We also never saw him drop the chunk of change for the motorcycle, but I got the impression he bought that out of his own pocket at the auction. Them do seem kind of like Low-Budget dates. Who you calling cheap! That's just frugal >From now own its Soup AND Salad.
