And a Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours, too! Well Rick, you can get the pilot episode from "Make Room For Daddy" on DVD. It aired February 15, 1960; Season 7, Episode 20; "Danny Meets Andy Griffith". However I understand that it is edited down from the VHS version, "The Danny Thomas Show", vol. 8. I have the VHS version and it appears to be complete according to some friends of mine. As for sites to steer clear of, there are three that are rather notorious. I don't think Floyd will mind posting their names if it'll help keep our friends and families safe from rip-offs. They are Dvddonkey.com, DVDavenue.tv, and Tvaddicts.tv. Dvdavenue.tv should not be confused with Dvdavenue.com, which is a DVD rental site and has a good name. You can read about the three bandits here: http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/285/RipOff0285985.htm. The best advice is to buy your movies and TV shows from known reputable sources such as Weaver's. If Weaver's doesn't stock what you're looking for, you can find those older TV shows and movies on DVD by Googling the name of the show or movie. There are quite a few sites that have the old classic shows. This way, you can be assured that your copy is not hacked or illegally pirated. Now, I think I'll go back and have some more pumpkin pie and warm cider. Again, Happy Thanksgiving to one and all, **Barn (Ron McLendon) _______________________________________________ WBMUTBB mailing list [email protected] http://wbmutbb.com/mailman/listinfo/wbmutbb_wbmutbb.com http://www.mayberry.com/tagsrwc/wbmutbb/
