>>>It seems such a shame that each and every time Joanna Moore is brought up on
>>>the TAGS Board on TVLand a frequent poster there, who contributes here too,
>>>blows a gasket!! Just FYI...here's a sample!<<<

I don't know what such comments accomplish, and I'm not sure why you felt it
necessary to bring them into the digest. What little I know about Joanna Moore
I've learned here. It would seem that she did indeed make some very poor
choices in her personal life, and that is a shame--both for her and for those
close to her. However, I think she made a very attractive and charming Peggy
McMillan and was a good actress, too. She made a very believable Peggy, and
isn't that what good acting is all about?

I am always pleased when an actor I admire leads an exemplary life off screen,
and I am glad that many of the actors on TAGS are/were nice, down-to-earth
folks in real life. However, I can also enjoy the talents of those whose
lifestyle, politics, etc., are different from my own. I don't mind stating
that someone is wrong about something or has made unwise choices, if that's
what I believe, but calling names isn't an appropriate way to do that. It's
certainly not in the Mayberry spirit.

There's an old saying that I heard when growing up, and I've told it to my own
daughter, as well: "If you can't say anything nice about someone, don't say
anything at all."
