Re Malcom Merriweather putting a lap blanket on Andy when he got in the back seat of the car--I thought it was doubly odd--not only was it only a two block ride to the Government House as Malcom called it (as dan pointed out), but it was also a warm day. Earlier, when Andy was seated for breakfast, Malcom handed him the newspaper and said the temperature was 70 something. If it's already in the 70's before 8 in the morning, it's probably going to be a mighty warm day--at least where I come from here in Nebraska. I don't ever recall needing a lap blanket on a day like that.
BTW, I don't recall the name (maybe it was Clara), but there was some conversation earlier in that episode, I think between Andy & Barney mentioning that someone was leaving their car parked in Andy's driveway--that dialogue might have been snipped out of what was on TVLand. Keith in Nebraska (hoping for double dollups of afters tonight!) In answer to Weenie Man's question about Andy's tie. Malcolm didn't feel it proper for the High Sheriff to be in residence at the Government House without proper attire. That also accounts for Andy wearing a uniform cap. Now I do question the need for a lap blanket for the 2 block journey to Government House. dan __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
