The following report was filed Friday, the day I got home from our trip and had just signed back into the group, and evidently was not back in the queue for posting. Anyhoo, here it be again...some good information in case anyone goes to Mt. Airy and goes to the Emporium looking for Emmett's display of memorabilia ....read on. We stopped in Mt. Airy today on the way home from the New River Gorge and they were in the process of moving all the show's memorabilia from the Emporium to the room on the lower level of the Playhouse where Thelma Lou's pictures are. There was also an article in the Mt. Airy news saying the building they had hoped to have was not to be as all bids were too high for the job. So, unless some generous benefactor supplies a great amount of cash the building is not to be built, at least not any time soon. And not at taxpayer expense. And you know, even today, there was a line at Snappy Lunch!!! Glad to be home....tired, broke, but fascinated by all we saw and did!! Welford theCamera Nutt
