TAGS fans, My family and I have been watching a lot of season 8 lately and my wife commented on something I had thought before: in season 8 you can see a lot more of Ben Matlock in Andy than in previous seasons. It's something in his mannerisms and voice inflections. Has anyone else noticed this? My guess is that these things may come about as he "plays Andy Taylor" less and is just more himself. I still prefer the black and white years, but since getting the DVDs, I have a higher appreciation for the color years than I used to.
