Wonder what the 9 flavors were at Murphy's House of the 9 Flavors? We know the one that Barney brought to TL and it was pretty exotic. From the folks in Mayberry, I can probably guess what they ordered when they walked in the door:
Opie: Chocolate, of course. Aunt Bee: Peach (but she can make better on the back porch.) Andy: Butter Pecan Barney: Vanilla (he always prefers the classics) Floyd: Strawberry (tastes real close to the Huckleberry Smash he gets at Wally's) Gomer: Tutti-fruti (after all, he's just a big kid) Goober: Chocolate Almond (he's kid-like, too. But the almonds give him a bit of sophistication above Opie's plain chocolate) Helen: Lemon Sorbet. Mayor Pike: Whatever the Council votes for.
