The Mount Airy News online is currently running an poll to get opinions about
the new location for the Andy Griffith collection. The current plan is to
construct a building next to the Andy Griffith Playhouse that would house the
items that Andy's friend Emmett Forrest (a WBMUTBB member) has collected over
the years, as well as other TAGS items. I don't know how long the poll will
run, but if you would like to support the idea of a new facility where the
entire collection of memorabilia can be displayed (including some newly
acquired items) you can vote to keep the building in the great location where
it is proposed.
